He replied, “After I hosted X-factor on Sony in 2011, I met Sanjay Sir post shooting the finale and expressed my keen interest in learning filmmaking and asked him if he was starting a project anytime soon. He just laughed at me and said I won't be able to assist him for the entire film and I’ll run away. So he stopped taking my calls too for a bit. After repeated attempts and a month or so of pursuing him, he said yes.
“It is my great fortune that he decided to give me a couple of amazing songs in Ram Leela too, after hearing me during rehearsals. I didn’t even ask him once, he just gave them to me. Tattad Tattad is already a chartbuster. I will be forever grateful to Mr. Bhansali for everything that I’ve learnt from him,” added the son of veteran singer Udit Narayan.
Aditya Narayan, who has earlier worked with Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and the likes as a child artist, says working with Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone was “great”.
“They are amazing in every way. They are friendly, down to earth and very very committed to their job. It was truly inspiring to work with them,” he adds.
When asked if he has any memories on the sets, he shares, “Many, many memories, it was one of the best learning experiences of my life. I wish I hadn’t gone to school and spent my entire childhood on a film set and in the studios. I guess, I must be the first person in the history of cinema to sing a song and then give the clap on the shoot of the song (laughs).”
